We sat down with one of Toronto’s coolest gals, Kinga Ilyes, Sales Rep for Tiger Of Sweden at Slavin Raphael Agency in Toronto to find out what she is loving this season.
Designers you love?
As the rep for Tiger of Sweden in Canada, I definitely have to say that it has become one my favourites. Having been to Sweden a few times now, I have come to really love the cool minimalistic aesthetic of Scandinavian fashion. For my Ozzy fix I love Sass & Bide, I look for colour in Matthew Williamson, and Alexander Wang for crazy shoes.
Fashion inspiration for the season?
I float between very busy and very clean outfits. I love all the amazing prints this season, especially digitally printed florals but the cleanliness of a crisp white palate always draws me in.
What fashion trend will you be bypassing this season?
The jailbrid stripes. I love the look but I totally can't pull it off.
The perfect accessory is?
A loyal dog (and a handsome man).
Favourite Toronto hot spots?
I love the vibe of the Soho House on a random quiet night and the Thomson rooftop for some star gazing. I also love hanging out with my boyfriend at his new pub, the Dog&Bear to watch sports and eat nachos.
For a good local dinner I always end up at Dimmi. It is a 3 minute walk from my house so am there at least once a week, every week.
Favourite magazine or blog?
Vanity Fair always has really great stories and a healthy mix less-trashy celebrity gossip.
I also read the Daily Mail like it is my full time job. I get the world news, US news and gossip, so I always feel up to date. As for blogs, I love Bryan Boy - he has committed himself to fashion journalism and I love seeing where his travels take him.
